Smuggling of radioactive items intercepted in Domodedovo Airport

According to the Federal Customs Service of Russia, on  May 17, 2023, one of the Yantar radiation monitors installed in Domodedovo Airport detected a passenger whose belongings significantly increased  permissible radiation levels. A secondary inspection performed with an MKC-A03 handheld radiation monitor revealed an object with excessive radiation background. It was a pack of cards, which the passenger attempted to smuggle through the green channel in her pocket.
