Detection of radiation hazardous mail items

According to information from the Federal Customs Service, triggering of one of the Yantar Radiation Monitors at the Central Postal Customs and subsequent inspection with the MKC-A03 Handheld Radiation Monitor helped to intercept  two international mail items with a significant excess of natural radiation background.
