Detection of radiation hazardous cargo on the border with Mongolia

According to information from the Federal Customs Service, a dangerous cargo was detected at the Buryat customs with one of the Yantar radiation monitor. The cargo was a batch of metal pens for acupressure.
Secondary radiation inspection confirmed the excess of the permissible level of gamma radiation and the presence of beta contamination on the pens surface.
